How to Buy on Robinhood Chain With Funds on Any Chain

Rift Research

Last updated

TLDR: Rift can send any token on a Rift-supported chain to any token on Robinhood Chain and select the best rate automatically. Rift is an aggregator with best price execution. It adds 0 fee on the route. If Across, Relay, LayerZero, the canonical Arbitrum bridge, LI.FI, 0x or another venue wins, Rift gives you that path with no added fee.

Buying on Robinhood Chain is still a send, then a swap. Robinhood Wallet documents both actions — send, receive and swap — including on Robinhood Chain. See Send, receive, and swap crypto. The destination is the chain (ID 4663), not a brokerage ticket.

What you are buying on

Robinhood Chain is a permissionless L2. Anyone can deploy contracts and list tokens. Uniswap is a listed ecosystem partner. Memecoins on this chain are ordinary ERC-20s. They are not products of Robinhood brokerage and they are not Stock Tokens.

Stock Tokens are a separate instrument, issued as ERC-20s by Robinhood Assets (Jersey) Limited. See Stock Tokens. Do not mix the two.

Most memecoins fail. Check the contract address against Token Contracts so you are not buying a ticker collision. This page is not a recommendation to buy any memecoin.

Official ways to land funds

Robinhood’s Bridging page lists the rails that complete the send onto the chain:

RouteSpeed in Robinhood docsWhen people use it
Arbitrum canonical bridge~10 min depositETH / ERC-20 from Ethereum, trustless
LayerZero OFT / StargateMinutesOFTs such as USDG and WBTC
Chainlink CCIP / TransporterMinutesCCIP token transfers
RelaySecondsFast send, including bridge-and-execute
AcrossSecondsFast, capital-efficient send
LI.FI / 0xSeconds–minutesSwap and send in one step

Robinhood Wallet swaps on Robinhood Chain through 0x and LI.FI, including cross-chain swaps. That is the in-app option.

Uniswap’s own help centre documents bridging to and from Robinhood Chain via the Uniswap interface or the Arbitrum portal.

From common source chains

You holdTypical send
EthereumSend ETH or USDC onto 4663, then swap
Base / ArbitrumPartner route (Relay, Across, LayerZero, LI.FI) then swap
BitcoinNative BTC send into a supported rail, then onto Robinhood Chain
HyperliquidExit Hyperliquid, send onto Robinhood Chain
Tempo, XLayer, Ink, PharosQuote Rift if the pair is in the supported set

Rift supported chains: Bitcoin, Ethereum, Arbitrum, Base, Hyperliquid, RobinhoodChain, Tempo, XLayer, Ink and Pharos.

On those chains, Rift treats the job as one quote: any source token → any destination token on Robinhood Chain. The aggregator compares venues and takes best price execution. You do not pick the bridge as a separate product unless you want to.

Other options, then Rift

  • Robinhood Wallet send + swap — native UX, 0x / LI.FI under the hood. Fine if you already live in that wallet.
  • Canonical Arbitrum bridge, then Uniswap on 4663 — trustless inbound from Ethereum, then a local swap.
  • Relay or Across direct — when you already know the seconds-path wins.
  • LI.FI or 0x direct — when you want their widget or API.

Use Rift when the source token, source chain and destination token should be one decision. Rift includes the venues above where the routes overlap. Rift adds 0 fee. If LI.FI would have won, Rift can give you that underlying rate with no Rift markup. If Across wins, you get Across. Best price execution is the point.

What not to do

  • Do not send Ethereum-mainnet ETH as a same-network transfer to a 4663 address and assume it arrives. Use a listed rail or an aggregator that selects one.
  • Do not treat a memecoin ticker as a Stock Token. Canonical Stock Token addresses live on docs.robinhood.com/chain/contracts.
  • Do not skip liquidity, tax and contract checks on the destination token.

FAQ

Can Rift send any token on any chain to Robinhood Chain?

On Rift’s supported chains, yes: any token Rift can quote on the source chain to any token on Robinhood Chain, with the best live rate selected automatically. Chains outside that set need another rail for the last hop.

Is this a brokerage buy?

No. Robinhood says the chain is not connected to brokerage or crypto accounts. See Robinhood Chain mainnet.
