What each protocol is

LayerZero. LayerZero is interoperability infrastructure. Applications send messages and OFT tokens across supported chains. It is not a user-facing swap venue. Applications can build transfers and swaps on LayerZero. LI.FI may fit when:

Key differences

LayerZero provides messaging and token-transfer infrastructure. LI.FI provides a trading or execution product. A LayerZero-based app can be part of a route, but its liquidity, fees and application security must be evaluated separately.
