What each protocol is

NEAR Intents. NEAR Intents is a multichain intent protocol. You specify the outcome (asset in, asset out, destination). Market makers compete to fill it. Uniswap provides AMM liquidity on supported chains. NEAR Intents may overlap with its swap use case, route through that liquidity, or handle another leg of a cross-chain order. Compare executable quotes for the same size, destination and time window, including gas, underlying venue costs and any extra transfer. Expected output and minimum received are different figures; compare like with like.

Is NEAR Intents a substitute for Uniswap?

They can overlap on supported swap routes, and an aggregator or solver may use Uniswap liquidity. Compare the executable route, destination, gas and fees rather than assuming they can only be used in sequence.
