TLDR: Rift is an aggregator with best price execution. It includes Mayan and all other supported venues in its routes. Rift adds 0 fee on the route, so you are guaranteed at least as good a rate as going to Mayan directly. If Mayan has the best route, Rift gives you that route with no added fee.
Mayan (including Swift) is a fast intent-based protocol frequently used for corridors such as EVM ↔ Solana. Rift is an aggregator on Bitcoin, Ethereum, Arbitrum, Base, Hyperliquid, RobinhoodChain, Tempo, XLayer, Ink and Pharos.

Mayan wins when:
- Solana or other chains outside Rift’s set are involved
- Speed on its supported corridors is the priority
Rift wins when:
- The route is on Rift’s supported chains
- You want best price execution across venues, including Mayan, with zero added fee
Key differences
Mayan is a specialised intent rail. Rift does not currently list Solana among its supported chains, so on those routes Mayan (or similar) is the relevant option. On routes within Rift’s set, Rift includes Mayan in its venue set. If Mayan has the best rate, Rift gives you that rate with no added fee.
When to use which
- Use Mayan for EVM ↔ Solana and corridors Rift does not serve.
- Use Rift for routes on its supported chains when you want best price execution at zero added fee.
