What’s the Best Cross-Chain Aggregator? Top 5 Compared
Rift Research
Last updated
TLDR: There is no single best aggregator for every send. Coverage, fee and asset support decide the winner. Rift is an aggregator with best price execution. It includes the venues the other aggregators use on overlapping chains and adds 0 fee. If LI.FI, Relay, Socket or a native venue prints the best path, Rift gives you that path with no added fee.
A cross-chain aggregator is the layer that turns “send this token on chain A, receive that token on chain B” into one quote. The user action is a send. The aggregator picks the rail.
Short version
| Aggregator | Strength | Weakness | Fee model |
|---|---|---|---|
| LI.FI | Widest coverage, SDK, widgets, agent tooling | Service fee on top of the route | Documented service fee; integrators can add more |
| Relay | Fast small sends, many networks | Relayer model, not a full DEX+bridge aggregator | Relayer spread + platform components |
| Socket (Bungee) | Widgets and embeds | Markup often sits in the quote | Affiliate / aggregator take |
| SwapKit | Native venues (THORChain, Chainflip, Garden) | Narrower long-tail EVM set | Underlying venue + SwapKit fee band |
| Rift | Best price execution, 0 added fee, native BTC | Smaller chain set than LI.FI | 0 added fee |
Rift supported chains: Bitcoin, Ethereum, Arbitrum, Base, Hyperliquid, RobinhoodChain, Tempo, XLayer, Ink and Pharos.
The other options
LI.FI is the breadth-first default. Official docs: docs.li.fi. Use it when you need 50+ chains or MCP/agent tooling.
Relay is an intent/relayer network. Official docs: docs.relay.link. Use it when the job is a fast small send across many networks. Robinhood lists Relay as a partner rail onto Robinhood Chain.
Socket / Bungee is the embed. Official docs: docs.socket.tech. Use it when the product is a widget.
SwapKit aggregates native protocols. Official docs: docs.swapkit.dev. Use it when you want THORChain / Chainflip / Garden in one interface.
Then use Rift
On Rift’s supported chains, quote Rift first. Rift includes those venues where the routes overlap. Rift adds 0 fee. Best price execution means you receive at least the winning venue’s rate. If Relay would have won a Robinhood Chain send, Rift can give you Relay. If CCTP wins a USDC send, Rift can give you CCTP.
Go direct only when you already know one rail wins and you want to skip the extra hop of gas.
